Shree Ram ayurvedic medical college and hospital, Meerut successfully hosted a cancer prevention program that is HPV VACCINATION AND AWARENESS PROGRAM which was held on 26th of June 2024 at the auditorium from 11 am to 2 pm. Aimed to stop HPV infection among young age 9 to 26 year Male/Female. This program was organised by SRPT Department and Serum Institute of India collaboratively. The event was honoured by our principal Dr. Sabiha Bano, vice principal Dr. Ravinder Nirwal , alongside the college faculty, students of all batches and interns. It was held under the supervision of Dr. Shital Chinchalkar , Dr. Khushbu Kaushik & Dr. Neha kukreti.

The event was a significant step towards fostering awareness among the students about cervical cancer and HPV vaccination. As cervical cancer is a hot topic nowadays The latest news article mentions that India has the largest share in global deaths due to cervical cancer solely because not many are screened and vaccinated against HPV. Cervavac, the first Indigenous and affordable qHPV is certainly the answer because it’s incidence is on rising scale in our country and also it is the 2nd most common cause of death in females. To deal with this cause is to prevent ourselves from HPV infection and this is done by vaccination. Overall the program was highly informative.
